Notice of Intent (NOI)

Each "Notice of Intent" (NOI) must be limited to one master airway bill. An exception notice on a delivery receipt does not serve an NOI.

  • If the claimant cannot submit the full claim details within the timeframe noted below, an NOI may be opened to extend the acceptable claim submission date.
  • When an NOI is opened within the timeframe noted, the submission date to file a formal claim is extended by 24 months from the date the NOI was opened.
